Ghost Walk

Step into Smithfield’s past—if you dare! 

Join us for the 1750 Isle of Wight County Courthouse Ghost Walk on 

October 23 & 24, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. 

Encounter characters and stories from Smithfield and Isle of Wight County’s past as groups depart from the courthouse every 10 minutes.

18th Century Trade Saturday takes place on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is free to the public, giving visitors another chance to experience living history at the courthouse before the evening Ghost Walk begins.
